The beech block, hard and full of character, carried something raw within it from the very beginning. I worked on it for a long time until it took on a rectangular shape - balanced, yet still expressive. Then I entrusted it to fire. Shou sugi ban - the flame passed over the surface, giving it a deep black, full of shadows and sheen, accentuating the grain and cracks. After the charring, as always, I brushed it for a long time, removing the charcoal until the wood became smooth, warm to the touch, with no trace of soot. On the front, I complemented it with a subtle composition of tiny polished dots, forming a natural pattern that creates a texture perfectly harmonizing with the plant. The whole piece carries a delicate expression - the wood and the plant together create harmony within this minimalist form.

All cracks and imperfections visible on the vases are their unique feature, characteristic of the natural material that is wood.
