The linden tree grew in my neighbor’s yard for years. Wide-branched, giving shade and carrying the scent of summer. But over time it began to weaken, its branches drying one by one. Eventually, it had to be cut down. My neighbor brought me a few pieces - light, fresh, with a fragrance that instantly reminded me of linden honey and calm afternoons. I took one of them into the workshop.

I turned it slowly, with curiosity, because although linden is usually gentle, this piece held something more. With each layer, surprises appeared – subtle discolorations, lines that looked like traces of sunlight, like memories. From this came a vase with character - light, but not uniform, calm, yet full of stories. It carries something of that tree within it: warmth, gentleness, and a quiet strength that doesn’t shout but lingers. Perfect for a few dried grasses, maybe a single twig, nothing more is needed.
